Filters give you better images by adjusting for these light variations. Film and video are rated for a particular color temperature such as that of daylight or tungsten light. Filters are used to correct differences in color temperatures between the recording medium and a light source.The 80A filter balances daylight film for use with most standard tungsten lighting, studio lighting and copy stand lighting.

Summary: Useful filter, well packaged
Comment: How can one review a filter like this one? It's just a very plain, simple filter... that will not produce flare or make light bounce within the front element and the back of the filter. That alone merits mention: buy this filter for your lenses with a 77mm diameter front because it will do what it's supposed to do.

Comment: Does just what it's supposed to do, protect the front lens of my RATHER EXPENSIVE ( but marvelous ) Canon ef 70-200mm f2.8L IS lens.
I always put a UV filter on a new lens right out of the box and LEAVE IT ALONE. Cheapest lens insurance you can buy.

Comment: It is not the best UV filter you can buy, but definitely good value for the money.

I have it mounted on my tokina 11-16/2.8 to protect my investment.

So far I removed it only once when it was causing a flare that I did not want in the picture.

Definitely a must have.

Summary: Two filters don't fit the Canon 24-105 L Series
Comment: The UV and Color filters touch the glass of the lens when screwed onto the lens. Beware that these filters DO NOT fit the Canon 24-105 Lens. I have yet to buy new filters, but I suspect the only ones that will fit are the Canon brand filters.
